The city of Atlanta boasts a rapidly growing impact nationwide. Home to the world’s busiest airport, a team in each major sports league, a budding film and television industry and an outpost for most Fortune 500 companies, the city is quickly becoming known as a hub of influence.
Though it sits in the biblically saturated South, the city itself is no longer considered to be the hub of the Bible Belt. Only a small percentage of the millions living inside the city’s perimeter have any inclination toward church. With a population of more than 5 million in the metro area, only 27 percent are considered evangelical believers, leaving millions that still need to know Christ.

Dustin Crawford (Refuge Church)
Started by Dustin Crawford (left), Refuge Church is a new church located in downtown Atlanta that exists to reach people with God’s gospel, build them up as His church, and release his church on mission into the world. This church’s community is comprised of Capitol View and the surrounding neighborhoods of Adair Park, Pittsburgh, Sylvan Hills, Capitol View Manor, and Oakland City.
Mike McKee (Image Church)
First Baptist is supporting Image Church, a new church plant launching in Marietta. Image Church is committed to helping people love God, love each other, and love on mission.
Billy Lowe (Vertical Church)
Billy and his family moved to Alpharetta in 2018 with a calling to plant Vertical Church. With a clear and simple focus, they desire to facilitate a movement that multiples disciples who worship God, serve our city and love our world. Billy and his family believe that God’s church is his “plan A” and they want to give their lives to pastor a healthy church in Alpharetta. Billy is passionate about preaching the Gospel, seeing people come to faith in Jesus, and serving others.
