You might be curious why we do this. It’s our way to share God’s love and invite you to receive His Free Gift of Forgiveness and Salvation.

The Bible states that our sin, or disobedience to God, separates us from Him -- “For the wages of sin is death …” (Romans 6:23). However, God loves you and He made The Way to be forgiven by giving His Son, Jesus, to take your punishment by dying on a cross. Thankfully, Romans 6:23 continues: “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

That’s why John 3:16 is such Good News – “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

As with any gift, it can’t be possessed until it’s received or accepted. Have you received God’s gift of forgiveness by accepting His Word as the Truth?

God’s Word says: “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

The following prayer is an example of how you can receive God’s gift of salvation and the promise of eternal life:

Dear Jesus, I admit that I have sinned against You and don’t deserve eternal life in Heaven. Yet, I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead to prepare a place for me in Heaven. Lord Jesus, thank you for forgiving me of my sins and taking my punishment on the cross. Please take control of my life as Savior and Lord. Thank you for giving me eternal life in Heaven.
