Full-time
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Work Schedule: Typically, Sunday through Thursday with some exceptions for special events
PURPOSE
To help people discover and deepen a saving relationship with Jesus by creating the a guest experience that makes poeple want to return and leading people to take steps to be more rooted in Jesus and FBC.
KEY RESULTS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Create a guest experience that makes people want to return
• Ensure all guests have the best experience possible from the
parking lot to the chair and back
• Ensure clarity for guests to get help and take steps
• Give guests a reason to return and invite others to attend
• Assist with some outside organization’s events hosted by FBC
Lead people to take steps in their faith (more rooted in Jesus) and in the church (more rooted in FBC)
• Increase the attendance of Explore First and get more people
to take steps as a result of the class
• Make it clear and easy for people to volunteer, give, get
baptized, join a Group, and become a member of the church
• Lead more people to take next steps to volunteer, give, get
baptized, join a Group, and become a member of the church
• Work with core ministries to know their volunteer needs and
help them meet their needs
Manage efficient and effective systems
• Evaluate all systems for clarity, ease of use, efficiency, and
effectiveness
• Create new effective systems
Lead healthy and growing volunteer teams
• Recruit, train, and retain the right volunteers
• Build relationships with volunteers
• Develop and lead volunteers who lead volunteers
Align with the FBC mission and staff
• Ensure the connect ministry is aligned with the church
• Be engaged and aligned with the Ministry Director’s team
• Protect the health, relationships, and values of the FBC staff
EXPERIENCE
• College degree
• Minimum five years of working in a
ministry or non-profit
• Minimum five years of leading staff
and volunteers
• Creating warm and effective
experiences and systems that
cause people to engage
• Verbal and written communication
skills
