Our mission is the evangelize and disciple people in prison.

At Christ Church, we are laser-focused on our mission: to make, mature, and mobilize disciples of Jesus Christ.

We get our mission straight from the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. After dying and rising from the dead, and before ascending back into heaven, Jesus mobilized his disciples to go and make more disciples, teaching them to observe all that he commanded them.

Our heart is for the lost to come to a saving relationship with Jesus (make disciples), then to equip every disciple to walk in obedience to Christ (mature disciples), and finally for every believer to be sent into the world on mission (mobilize disciples).

Every February, FBC is able to serve our local community by hosting one of Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine events. This event is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God's love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Hundreds of volunteers and guests make each year more incredible than the last.

National Partners

We partner with local and national organizations to serve our community, advance the gospel, and make a lasting impact for Christ.

For many years, FBC has supported the work of Club 180, a ministry that exists to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of children, youth, and families in Lynch, KY. Terry and Angie Burkeen are the Directors of Club 180 Ministry. In 2006, God called them, along with their two teenage daughters, to move to Kentucky to live on mission for Him. FBC sends our people to serve with Club 180 to hold activities, events, Bible studies, and mentoring for kids and parents.

Our mission is to proclaim Jesus Christ and form Christ-centered disciples in Huntsville, and from Huntsville to the world.

The Church is God’s plan—you are God’s plan—to reach North America and the nations with the hope of the gospel, and the North American Mission Board is here to help.

International Partners

We serve with international partners to advance the gospel and make a lasting impact for Christ.

Growing up at First Baptist, Alexis heard the gospel, surrendered her life to Christ, and grew in her faith as a follower of Jesus. In college, she began serving with Campus Outreach on their leadership team. As a recent graduate, Alexis will now serve on staff for two years with Campus Outreach in Birmingham, England. As England’s second largest city, Birmingham is a strategic location because of its diversity and number of university students from all over the globe. Alexis has a passion to see a multiplying campus ministry spread in Birmingham and throughout the U.K. to impact the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
